Fluorescein Sodium Strip

This fluorescein Sodium strip is a diagnostic agent for professional use only. Note that drug

Dosage:

● Fluorescein Strips – 0.6mg of 1mg

Eye Examination:

● This eye examination is performed under the guidance of Fluorescein Strip specialists.
● Fluorescein strip test uses the orange dye (Fluorescein) for the detection of a foreign
body or any damage in the cornea.

eye. The patient is asked to blink the eye several times because blinking spreads the
dye and coats the tear film which covers the surface of cornea. This tear film contains

damage, injection, injuries or trauma, or some foreign body.
● If solution comes in contact with the skin, there may be a reaction of slight, brief,
discoloration.

● During this fluorescein strip test, be aware of the inflammations of the local tissues, skin
